IV.PARASITES

PARASITES is a fully on-chain art project exploring the hidden forces that feed on attention, time, data, emotion, hope, and money. 555 unique Parasites. Six Protocols. A visual bestiary of modern extraction.

Every 365 days, a VESSEL becomes HUNGRY, revealing its other side. To restore its FED appearance, it needs to be fed. Like the systems they represent, PARASITES feed on your attention. Feeding happens through the PARASITES website, either from the VESSEL’s full-view profile in the gallery or directly through the contract. HOSTS follow a different rule. They become HUNGRY whenever their accumulated royalties are depleted, and return to their FED state once there is something to feed on again.
